Pooling testing involves combining several samples together in a pooled sample, then testing the pooled sample with a diagnostic test similar to how an individual sample would be tested. This approach increases the number of individuals that can be tested using the same amount of resources. For example, four samples may be tested together, using only the resources needed for a single test. This method of pooling samples works well when there is a low prevalence of cases, meaning more negative results are expected than positive results.
Pooled testing functionality is available only to internal users (lab staff), and is not accessible by external users (Providers, Collectors, Account Admins). To learn more about different user types, please refer to Dendi LIS Documentation - User Types.
Pooled testing is a premium LIS feature. If you would like to utilize this, please contact your Dendi sales representative.
